Tanzania president Samia Suluhu marks 100 days in office.

The incredible Tanzanian president Samia Suluhu today has marked one hundred days in the office of the president. Immediately when she assumed power, she ordered her citizens to strictly observe the Corona virus restrictions. Every Tanzanian now has to put on masks to prevent the spread of the highly contagious and deadly virus. Many East African presidents have congratulated her for taking such measures and putting in mechanisms to counter the Corona virus.

The late president Pombe Magufuli had failed to acknowledge the fact that Corona virus is in his country. This lead to many of his citizens to fail to observe the Corona virus guidelines and restrictions. But the current president, formerly the vice President to John Pombe has refuted the former presidents view on the virus.

This bold move by Samia has seen her creating the broken relationships that existed during president Magufuli's tenure. She has been able to bring back the good relationship between Kenya and Tanzania. Not long ago, president Samia Suluhu came to Kenya to burry the hatchet on all the issues between the two countries. Now the citizens of the two countries are free to do trade with each other.

On the other hand, she visited Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni and agreed together to start up projects that will be beneficial to the two countries and the East African community as a whole. This is exemplary from Samia.

Being the firs woman president in Eastern Africa, she is an inspiration to many African nations that a woman too can do better. She has conquered the myths and misconceptions about women and leadership in Africa. As we celebrate her hundreth day as the president we wish her all the best. May she bring more development projects in Tanzania and uplift the living standards of her citizens.
