One of the most successful sections the 2010 constitution put in place is devolution which is the The transfer of some powers, and the delegation of some functions, from a central sovereign government to local government. Devolution saw some power transfer from the national government of Kenya to fourty seven counties head by governers, this inturn have ensured development has been achieved much in grassroots than before.
According to some observations, below are the counties that have developed much better this year.
It houses the capital city of Kenya and it is headed by Nairobi Metropolitan services boss general Badi after Mike Sonko was impeached, as a capital city with the largest population in the country, the county remains at the top when it comes to development projects.
Headed by governor James Nyoro after the impeachment of Ferdinand Waititu, the county has the third largest population and it has done well in terms of development.
The county is headed by the two-term governor James Ongwae, the country has recoarded tremendous developments especially in Kisii town courtesy of the handshake and the 2020 Mashujaa day celebrations in the county.
The county is lead by governor Anyang Nyong'o and has been one of the major beneficiaries of the handshake that has ensured the county win development projects from the president, 2021 Madaraka day celebrations in the county contributed much to their development.
