Kenya Kwanza Alliance had alleged that the Kenyan government secretly sold three ports to a Dubai-based firm, Dubai Port World FZE. The statement was made by Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi.
The Kenya Kwanza Alliance principal further claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta was at the centre of the saga. He further named the ports to be those in the counties of Mombasa, Lamu and Kisumu.
While addressing a mammoth crowd in Nyamira county, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader Hassan Joho alleged that United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate Deputy President William Ruto had a hand in the sale of the ports.
He further stated that DP Ruto was in a meeting where the issue was discussed and documents signed in his presence. He added that DP Ruto also agreed with the sale and okayed the whole process.
