From the historical records, Mt Kenya region has been voting as a block against Hon. Raila Odinga. However, in the coming most anticipated 2022 General elections, the tables seems to be turning around as many more leaders from this region are increasingly showing their support for Raila Odinga. The following is an updated list of leaders supporting Raila's presidential election.
1. William G Kabogo
He is the former governor of Kiambu county. For some time he had refused to disclose who he will be supporting for the presidential seat, but now it's clear he will be supporting Raila. In his recent remarks, Kabogo was recorded saying that even though he will not campaign for Raila, he will give Raila his vote.
He is an MP from Nyeri county.In his recent remarks he was quoted saying that he is ready to lose his seat because of campaigning for Raila.He assured Raila of his support to the last campaign for the coming General elections.
He is currently the Nyandarua governor.He has been accompanying Raila in his mission to climb up the mountain.He is convincing the people of the mountain that Raila has what it takes to transform our nation.
4. Nderitu Muriithi
He is the governor of Laikipia county.Although he doesn't subscribe to any political party, Muriithi has shown his interest to support Raila Presidential Bid.Being a close friend to former President Mwai Kibaki, Muriithi is believed to be extending a hand of gratefulness to Raila who campaigned for Kibaki in 2002 elections.
5. Sabina Chege
There's no doubt that Sabina is supporting Raila.Following her recent interviews in a local tv station,Sabina has shown her interest in Raila's presidential race saying that he has sacrificed a lot for this nation.
6. President Uhuru
It is undisputable that he is one of the most influential leaders of Mt. Recently on his way to Kerinyaga Uhuru urged the people of Mountain to consider Raila.
