Meru county Governor Kiraitu Murungi has been thrown into mourning after the death of popular ward administrator.
Via his facebook page the governor wrote it with great saddness to learn the death of igoji east ward administrator robert Gitonga Riungu through a fatal accident this morning. The late Robert previously worked under special program and served our people with delligence. May his soul rest in peace the governor wrote.
The late Robert died after a fatal accident that happened in kanyakine area where a probox there in killed three people. The late Robert will be remembered for his humility humbleness and loyalt toward service to his people.
Different county leaders have continued to send there condolences messages to family of robert with the burial date expected to be announced later.
Kenyans have been urged to observe traffic rules so as to curb the increasing number of accidents around the country with traffic police being told to crack the whip on reluctant drivers.
