Gatundu South MP 10 Others Fined Sh75,000 Each or 8 Months Imprisonment

Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria and ten others have been fined 75, 000 Kenya shillings over failing to adhere to covid 19 rules and regulations. They were arrested at cornerstone gardens at nine in the evening.

They were charged with consumption of alcohol, gathering together despite prohibition, ignoring curfew hours and not following ministry of health protocols.

It has been reported that somebody informed the police about the gathering and police came to arrest them.

When they were taken to court, they pleaded guilty and were asked to pay a fine of Seventy five thousand or fail imprisonment of 8 months.

Leaders are meant to lead by example so that others might follow. The pandemic is on the rise and this means people ought to observe the measures that have been to stop the spread of the pandemic.

This fine should act as an example to people who plan to disrupt the covid 19 rules. Let's sanitize, wear masks and maintain social distance.
