Pauline Njoroge, a prominent blogger and political commentator affiliated with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition party, asserted that she thought President William Ruto supported Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja's proposal to prohibit matatus from the Nairobi CBD.
Njoroge recently posted a statement on Facebook in which she stated that she thought President William Ruto, like many Kenyans, supported Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja's intention to prohibit public service vehicles (PSVs), also known as matatus, from Nairobi's CBD. The country's capital city is where the president wants law and order to be restored.
She continued by saying that since Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is the only member of the cabinet who appears to be opposed to Sakaja's plan, this message should be sent to his allies and followers in Karatina. They ought to be aware that Governor Sakaja has the support of the president in his efforts to bring peace and order back to the nation's capital.
