"Watu Waache Upuzi" Gloves Off As President Kenyatta Hits Out At Dp Ruto Over 2022 Promises

In the wake of President Uhuru Kenyatta's oblique attack on his deputy, William Ruto, Kenyans have reacted in a variety of ways.

The head of state slammed William Ruto's 2022 promises during a speech at the Ushirika celebrations. According to Uhuru, a number of people have been yapping nonstop about what they plan to do once they gain control of the government. He asked why they didn't do it while they were in charge of the country.

Kenyatta's assaults on Ruto were indirect after he lauded Peter Munya's performance as the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary after only three years in the Ministry. He claimed (referring to Ruto) that other ministers had served in the same position for eight years and had done nothing.

" Mimi nasikitika kuona watu wengine wakilia ng’we ng’we Uko,mtu amepewa Kazi na badala ya kufanya Kazi ni mdomo ati tutafanya Kazi, kwanini haukufanya wakati ulikuwa? Watu waache upuzi bana" President Kenyatta stated

Following comments made by the President, many Kenyans defended the Deputy President, saying that he does not have the authority to carry out most of his responsibilities.
