Makueni county governor,Kivutha Kibwana,while speaking on September 17,said that his ambition of becoming a president of kenya cannot be stopped by coalitions or partys.He further added that,having been elected as a governor with wiper party ticket 2017,doesn't mean that he should bow down to Kalonzo and back him up as Ukambani kingpin.However, he added that,he is ready at any given time,to make talks with Kalonzo concerning the presidential elections if at all,he will make him the flag bearer.
"Wananchi nawaomba,ijapo 2022,mnipee kura.Niko tayari kuongea na Kalonzo,lakini,iwe tu atanipea ruhusa ya kupeperusha bendera kama presidential candidate. Am not tied to coalitions or party's", he said.
Kibwana is amongst the Ukambani governors who have declared to be in the ballot for presidency come 2022.Whereby, he has started making talks with Mukhisa Kituyi and Martha Karua.However, the Ukambani region is divided on who to back up,considering Kalonzo and Mutua are also eiying for the seat.
