Azimio la Umoja principal Raila Odinga rejects 2022 presidential results, terms them null and void.
While addressing the nation at KICC in Nairobi County, Raila said the nation and him were shocked that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission alone had access to the final tally and other commissioners were denied the results.
"I and the nation were shocked that Mr. Chebukati alone had access to the final tally and other commissioners were denied the results." Raila said.
He added: Our view in Azimio is clear. The figures announced by Mr. Chebukati are null and void. In our view, there is no validly declared winner or president-elect."
Juliana Cherera said that the aggregation of the results as declared are a mathematical absurdity that defy logic.
He added that the total exceeded the percentage of 100.
Raila's address to the nation comes a day after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of Kenya (IEBC) declared William Ruto the fifth president of Kenya.
Wafula Chebukati said Ruto got 7,176,141 against his closest rival Raila Odinga who got 6,942,930. This translates to 50.49 per cent and 48.85 per cent respectively. A difference of 233,211 votes.
