Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV with his host Jeff Koinange, Atwoli alleged that DP William Ruto can become a president of Kenya but he is not going to win this time roundAtwoli alleges that if the election will be free and fair then Odinga will be the winner in the upcoming general election. He adds that he strongly believes that DP William Ruto's UDA Party will not form a government and that they will be in opposition after the much anticipated general election.
Cotu boss has been very vocal and a strong opposer of DP William Ruto's bottom-up economic development model that he intends to use in his administration. The model focuses on empowering youth and low class people who occupies the bottom of the pyramid and who are many.
However, Atwoli has been attacking DP Ruto claiming that he is a corrupt individuals who should not occupy a public office. He is amongst the leaders who have been questioning the source of money that Ruto had been taking in churches.
