No Other Way of Defining Ruto's 'Penetration' & the Raila's 'Rejection' in Central, It's About Numbers - Wahome Thuku

Raila Odinga's historic reception in Nyeri County today has sparked a lot of debate about who owns the mountainous region of Kenya.

An example for the sake of illustration

Wahome Thuku, a well-known Kenyan blogger and prominent lawyer, has confidently predicted that Raila Odinga will receive a sizable number of votes from the region in August's presidential election.

For the sake of illustration, I have included this picture.

According to Wahome, William Ruto, the Kenyan Kwanza presidential candidate, hasn't even made it to the Mount area, where President Uhuru Kenyatta garnered 99 percent of registered voters in 2017. On the other hand, Raila was not rejected by the region's voters, according to Wahome, as he is guaranteed to receive more than the 1% of votes he received in 2017.

An illustration for educational purposes

According to Wahome, Ruto's penetration and Raila's rejection in Mount Kenya cannot be defined in any other way. It's all about the digits.
