Last week we witnessed Deputy President William Ruto’s security team being replaced, giving birth to the question of whether or not the second in command remains safe.
Despite the changes, Ruto comes second as the most safeguarded person in the country, with Uhuru taking the lead as expected.
The DP is bestowed with 50 personnel from various units including the Administration Police Service (APS) and Kenya Prisons Service.
Below is a detailed list of the most guarded people in the country apart from Uhuru and Ruto.
1.Justin Muturi and Ken Lusaka
Speakers Justin Muturi and Ken Lusaka enjoy well-built security that always surrounds them whether at home or at the office. If say National Assembly Speaker travels, you'll notice lead cars with eight police officers protecting him. Also, the families of both the national assembly and the senate speaker enjoy the security of armed police.
2. Mwai Kibaki
Mwai Kibaki being the former President enjoys a beefed up security at his premises and whenever he travels. His residences are guarded with GSU and his family still enjoys security from qualified personnel.
3. Chief Justice Martha Koome
The head of the third arm of the government also enjoys stable security. She travels with a lead car with officers from various units protecting her.
Cabinet secretaries together with ambassadors from countries Like the USA, Britain, Australia and China also enjoy heavy security.
