Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday hinted that the One Kenya Alliance and the associate parties might be folded to form one party dubbed an Independence Party after 2022 elections if they win and form the next government.
The leaders Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (Kanu) and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula who was represented by MP Chris Wamalwa affirmed that the alliance will be united until during the elections.
"I can see after 2022 a possible merger of all of us. We will likely create an independence party a vehicle to the future but as for now I am the leader oft the Wiper Democratic Movement," said Kalonzo attracting cheers from the Kanu delegates and other leaders present.
In a past interview, political leaders allied to Kalonzo and Mudavadi revealed that the presidential candidate will be chosen during a retreat that will be convened by the four leaders, and that they will unite to support whoever will be chosen.
Past rumors had it that the OKA team will likely unite with Raila in forming a bigger political alignment before 2022, allegations that the team dismissed.
