Kenya Kwańza Alliance and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Political Party have conspicuosly emerged as the two leading political formations in Kenya ahead of the eagerly awaited August ninth general elections.
Kenya Kwańza is led by Deputy President William Samoei Ruto who is equally the presidential candidate of United Democratic Alliance party while Azimio is under the captainship of ODM party leader, Raila Amolo Odinga who is its presidential candidate.
In what has seemingly emerged as a huge boost to Ruto-led Kenya Kwańza Alliance, the eleventh hour defection of former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has indeed improved the spanner works in Mombasa county Gubernatorial contest.
As per the latest opinion poll released on Tuesday by Mizani Africa, UDA's canditate, Hassan Omar's popularity has conspicuosly overtaken Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir of ODM who has been enjoying an easy lead in the past days.
This latest development is being attributed to Sonko's entry into Omar's Gubernatorial arithmetic after failing to get the nod of Courts and Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission to contest for the same seat come August ninth.
