The relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy Dr. William Ruto seems to be beyond repair, the duo who enjoyed a good working relationship during their first term no longer see eye to eye.
While Ruto is keen on succeeding his boss, his boss appears to be keen to influence his succession and is not willing to handle the mantle to him. Uhuru has since brought into his camp the opposition chiefs who appear to be interested in pushing for his agenda.
It seems president Uhuru realized that he could not stand being an enemy with both Raila and Ruto who have got a big following in the country. He therefore had to bring Raila onboard, but between the two, whom does Uhuru needs the most at this time?.
The former secretary-general of the ANC party Dr. Barack Muluka explains that despite both Ruto and Raila having influence, mass following and and great mobilising skills, Ruto is encumbered, he is restricted, he can not speak certain things unlike Odinga who freely expresses his mind and does whatever he wishes to, so to avoid much opposition, president Uhuru must befriend with Raila.
