The Kenyan Members of Parliament have said that they will allocate themselves close to 5 Billion Kenyan shillings in order clear arrears owed to them by the Kenya National Treasury.

This comes months to the general elections and they have noted that the monies will be used to clear the National Government Constituency Development Fund arrears owed to them.

According to the Kenyan Members of Parliament, they have been having a hard time when it comes to payment of the contractors who have been helping them complete the projects that they had started in this financial year.

"MPs said they were having a hard time paying contractors and suppliers for work done and supplies made owing to the arrears that have not been paid by the Treasury just months to the August 9 General Election."Daily Nation https://t.co/N4zydTlbJo

This comes at a time when the Auditor General Madam Nancy Gathungu has already released a report showing that several Members of Parliament had misappropriated the monies that was awarded to then as part of their annual CDF allocation.
