National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula has this evening defended the cabinet secretary nominee of Water and Sanitation Alice Wahome after failing to produce her University of Nairobi degree certificate to the parliamentary committee for vetting.
Wahome claimed that she could not trace her original UON degree certificate as required, however Speaker Wetangula defended her claiming that he is a witness that she indeed graduated from University of Nairobi and duly graduated as per the law.
This has however raised a heated up debate on how such a honourable leader fail to produce her certificate instead of leading by example, the Speaker on his side has been castigated by kenyans who have called her not to defend any leader despite being from the same political alliance.
Below are some of the reactions from kenyans.
