Today news have emerged that deputy president William Ruto has promised sex worker one million. The DP has urged Mtito Andei prostitutes to form a sacco and he will personally deposit one million to their account. The aim of Ruto is to get the group out of the illegal business. This has sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans.
This move has been turned by his rivals to attack him politically. According to bloggers opposed to Ruto, is that he is promoting there illegal business. These are people who struggle to make ends meet. Some have children and the only source of income is selling their bodies.
Some Kenyans have accused of promoting the sex industry in Kamba land. It is the first time he does so in the whole country. An individual asked why does he promote Coffee saccos in Mount Kenya region, Tea sacco in Rift Valley and Banana saccos in Kisii?
