Kenya Kwanza pays hospital bill for Mukami Kimathi, of the Maumau

The Maumau freedom fighters and their families are struggling to meet some of the basic needs like quality treatment despite putting themselves, or their parents putting their lives on the line for Kenya's liberation from the British colonialists.
Thai has been highlighted by the Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua who has visited the wife of the late field Marshal, Dedan Kimathi, Mrs. Mukami Kimathi who has been held in the Nairobi hospital for failing to pay her bills.
The deputy president has told the media that he and the president were not aware of the situation till Sunday night, since they were in Nyanza region.
The Deputy president has also assured that her bill of 1.3 million has been paid fully by the government and she should be on her way.The DP added that the past government have failed to help these freedom fighters and their families.
He says that the Kenya kwanza government is working on improving the lives of the remnant Maumau freedom fighters and their children.
