"I Will Not Shy Away From Campaigning For Raila" Vocal Governor Re-affirms Support For Azimio Camp

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos has stated that he will not shy away from campaigning for Raila Odinga's presidential bid, under the Azimio La umoja One Kenya Alliance despite being from Rift Valley Region, which is being considered as Deputy President William Ruto and UDA's stronghold.

In a publication by the Star, Tolgos said that he found mature and politics of integrity in the Azimio camp after Ruto hounded him out of his team.

The second term governor went on to say that he is now comfortable in the Azimio La Umoja camp, and he will not be discourage by Ruto allies, who, he claimed are now against his senatorial bid since he will be facing off with the incumbent Senator Kipchumba Murkomen of the UDA party.

"I will not shy away from campaigning for Raila. As I remained with Jubilee I used my influence to lobby for roads in our county and job opportunities for our people."

He went on to say that he is confident of defeating Murkomen, arguing that his track record as a governor will speak for itself, and give the electorates a reason as to why they should vote for him.

Tolgos urged the residents of his county and the region to support Raila in August.
