Kenyans React as Latest Update Reveals Key Areas in DP Ruto's Backyard Where Raila Odinga Has Shined

The road to presidency is now getting intense as we now approach the end the vote counting process. Deputy President William Ruto and the Azimio One-Kenya party presidential candidate Raila Odinga have proven to be the two top candidates whom Kenyans have massively casted for on August 9.

As the IEBC continues with the activities across the country, a fresh report issued by Nation Media group has now revealed that Raila Odinga has pulled a major surprise wins in Rift Valley, Deputy President William Ruto's stronghold. According to the report, Raila has greatly shined over DP Ruto in major wards. The wards include Huruma in Turbo constituency and Langas in Kapseret Constituency.

Huruma is cosmopolitan, with the majority being Kikuyu, Luhya and a small section of Luos. The ward had a total of 31,660 registered voters, while Kiplombe, which is partly cosmopolitan, has 26,347 votes. Langas, which is also cosmopolitan, has 24,763 voters.

Out of the forty nine polling stations in Huruma ward i.e Huruma Primary, MV Patel, Atnas Kandie and Bishop Delany, among others, the Azimio boss led in all, garnering 11,843 votes against 5,749 votes of the country's Deputy President, William Ruto.

On the other flip side, Kapseret Constituency which happens to be Oscar Sudi's rural turf, the Azimio boss got 9,782 votes against the Kenya Kwanza Alliance (KKA) leader's 4,150 votes. The ODM boss also led in seven streams at Moi University West Campus, Kiplombe ward where he managed to get a total of 1,464 votes against 639 votes of Dr Ruto.
