IEBC Was Not Properly Prepared For This Election, Says Senior Counsel James Orengo

The senate minority leader James Orengo has laughed off the decision of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to postpone the governor elections in Counties Of Mombasa and Kakamega.

Speaking on the issue, the Senior Counsel has said that IEBC had sufficient time to prepare for elections, but suspension of the two gubernatorial elections clearly show that it was not properly prepared to carry out the elections. He also said that the election commission should have cancelled every election, saying that elections should be a whole.

"It's a disaster, it can't be a coincidence. Kakamega is a populous county and Mombasa is a critical county," said senator James Orengo.

Mr Orengo has asked Kenyans to turnout in large numbers and vote in today's polls.

To recall, yesterday Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party, through Suna East Member of Parliament, Honourable Junnet Mohammed called the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to investigate into matter.

Meanwhile, let's all be patriotic and say no to hate speech in this daring time that the country is in a political season.
