Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) youth leader Wakili Ochieng has hit out at Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen after he attacked Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe over link to corruption.
Murathe is accused of allegedly being a beneficiary of Sh7.8 billion Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) Covid-19 supplies tender currently being investigated by the National Assembly Public Investments Committee (PIC).

Reacting to the reports which appeared in the leading local newspapers on Friday, Murkomen termed Murathe, who is a known confidant of President Uhuru Kenyatta, as the 'father of corruption' and claimed he was acting on behalf of someone more powerful than him in Government.
"I am surprised that there is a Kenyan who didn’t know that Murathe is the father of corruption and tenderpreneurship. The sad news is that he is the agent. Who is the principal? Your guess is as good as mine," the Senator tweeted.

Ochieng told off Murkomen saying he was also a 'thief' who made a lot of money when his ally Deputy President William Ruto was still in good terms with his boss Uhuru and had say in his administration.
"When Ruto was almighty and wielding power, Murkomen was among the riff raffs around him striking deals and minting mullar. In a turn of hypocrisy and rage, they are now on David Murathe for doing the same around Uhuru. Both of them are big thieves, only that it's Murathe's turn," the ODM youth leader said.
In addition to Murkomen, other allies of Ruto who have attacked Murathe over link to the Kemsa tender include Senators Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho), Susan Kihika (Nakuru) and MPs Nelson Koech (Belgut) and Purity Ngirici (Kirinyaga Women Representative).
"No sin is Bigger than pulling oxygen off patients or denying them that, that makes the difference between life & Death..”Weep not my country “.One day,Justice will be served!" said MP Koech.
Murathe, who is a former Gatanga MP, has maintained his innocence saying he was just a bank guarantor for a company linked to the scandal.
