The Minister of Information, Technology and Communication (ICT) Joe Mucheru and Governor Hassan Joho accused and attacked Deputy President William Ruto, saying he was pursuing a false policy of deceiving young people to support his cause.
The two said Mr Ruto was motivating the youth instead of providing a framework for the challenges they face. They said his economic plan for the people was to deceive Kenyans into supporting him.
"This is a time for young people, come forward to fight for political positions. If you choose the right leaders, politics is self-organizing and that is why we are aligned with President Uhuru Kenyatta, do not listen to the other deceiver. We cannot allow the country to be played, ”said Mucheru.
Speaking in the Mombasa area at a meeting of the two youths, they accused Mr Ruto of insulting the President. Mr Joho also called on the youths to come forward and fight for leadership. He urged young people to be careful with private leaders.
"We have 11 months left before the general election, filter what you are told. The economic issue that he[Ruto] is announcing everywhere cannot be achieved in this country. Get involved with the best leaders who wish you well and not those who like to criticize without giving an answer, ”Joho said.
"Why are you fighting a President who is going to retire? Motivating Kenyans, we want peace in a country where people live in harmony. It hurts a lot to see a leader stirring up emotions and bringing hatred and hostility, ”he said.
