Wiper member of parliament Hon. Ben Momanyi who is vying for the Nyamira Gubernatorial seat in this year's general elections. Was seen in the Azimio La Umoja movement rally in Nyamira County which has spanked mixed reactions cross the country.
Hon. Ben Momanyi has now broken his silence minutes after the Azimio La Umoja rally alleging that he only honoured an invitation to Kisii and Nyamira by his long-term friend and political partner Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, who is also political mentor to many of them.
According to him, he will be vying for the Nyamira Gubernatorial seat under the Wiper party and that he has no intention to join ODM party.
"The reports making rounds on social media about my defection from The Wiper Party to The ODM party. I honoured an invitation to Kisii and Nyamira by my long-term friend and political partner Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, who is also political mentor to many of us.
"For a decade, the Wiper party and ODM have worked together as manifested in the partnership between Hon. Raila Odinga and H. E. Kalonzo Musyoka. I remain fully as a Wiper member and delegate. I'll contest Nyamira gubernatorial seat on Wiper. OKA will work with like-minded teams.
"When the right time comes, we shall sign a pact with Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta. I thank Raila for inviting me to his meeting". Hon. Ben Momanyi wrote.
It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the coming weeks if he will remain in Wiper party or not.
