Uhuru Kenyatta Resurfaces Online in a Meeting with Election Observers

President Uhuru Kenyatta has on social media, broken his four-day silence since Kenyans went to the election.

His last tweet was on August 9, after he voted in Kiambu County.

Uhuru posted 7 photos of himself and election observers at State House. The team briefed him on their observations about the election process.

Leaders present were former Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma, former Presidents Domitien Ndayizeye (Burundi) and Mulatu Teshome (Ethiopia) as well as Ambassador Marie-Pierre Lloyd of Seychelles.

Azimio One Kenya presidential running mate Martha Karua today led a meeting at KICC where newly elected leaders attended. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka was also present. Karua expressed confidence that Raila Odinga will defeat his rival.

The tallying of the presidential results gathered pace on Saturday, August 13, as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) rushed against time to beat the Tuesday deadline for announcing the winner of the August 9 poll.
