Hon Joel Ole Tasur, who is among Kilgoris aspirants, and also a close ally to DP Ruto received a political boost after meeting Ruto over UDA party and 2022 election. According to his recent post he said he visited the Deputy President in Karen, Nairobi, and they had extensive discussion and consultations over UDA party recruitment drive, and his impending visit to Kilgoris Constituency soon.
It is remembered that the current MP, Hon Gideon Ole Konchela is rumoured to be eyeing to inherit Governor Tunai in 2022, though he has not made it publicly. This has given an opportunity Hon Tasur to face off with the former Kilgoris MP Hon Julius Sunkuli, who has expressed the interest for the same seat.
Notably, Hon Tasur is endearing the Kilgoris voters using several projects that he has done so far, the like of 'ENKARE NASILA' organisation which advocating for the girl child in the entire region. Moreso, he always organises and sponsors football tournaments in the across Constituency as a way of recognising the youths talents.
However, Hon Julius has a lot of confidence that he shall win Election in 2022 since he was once an MP, and he did a lot of projects that time. Due to this, residents in Kilgoris are expecting titanic competition between the two in the next year election.
