Raila Not Planning To Let Ruto Rule In Peace As Top Ally Reveals What They Are Working On

ODM boss Raila Odinga is not planning on letting President William Ruto rule in peace, on grounds that he is leading Kenya in the wrong route, it is emerging.

This is according to Azimio La Umoja Deputy Secretary General Opiyo Wandayi, who says that they are working on coming up with ways to counter Ruto.

The National Assembly Minority Leader has stated that it is for this reason that Raila has called a Parliamentary Group meeting of the alliance.

He reveals that they are unhappy with how Ruto has been ruling, hence Raila's convention of the meeting to come up with ways of dealing with the President.

“We will be discussing the skyrocketing cost of living, and increased insecurity across the country and come with far-reaching conclusions on how we are going to handle the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration that has been taking Kenyans for a ride,” the Ugunja MP told The Standard.

The ODM Secretary of Political Affairs has named importation of GMO products and removal of the four embattled IEBC commissioners as among the issues forcing them to try and stop Ruto on his tracks.

Raila has been publicly opposed to the above mentioned issues, and last week told Ruto to prepare for a battle if he doesn't drop them.

He accused the Head of State of trying to take the country back to the dark Moi-era days, swearing not to let him have his way.

"Since the conclusion of the 2022 election circle we have done our best to give Ruto time and space to heal and unite our land, we have given so much space that Kenyans are thinking we have given up the fight, unfortunately, Ruto seems to think we have surrendered,” the former Premier warned.
