Kenya Defence Forces has today shared photos of trucks carrying warfare equipments, logistical components being transported to the Democratic Republic of Congo. KDF has revealed that the transportation of KDF troops has been successful leveraging on East African Community diplomatic and military relations.
The KDF has revealed that the cross border liaisons enabled ease of movement, as the convoys moved to Goma in Democratic Republic of Congo by road through Uganda and Rwanda.
KDF has revealed that this cooperation and the many other ways East African Community Regional Force EACRF, troops contributing countries continue to exercise signal that peace and stability in the troubled eastern part of Congo is achievable.
KDF has revealed that the regional force, EACRF remains committed to supporting Congolese force, FARDC in defeating negative forces, maintenance of law and order, disarmament, demobilization, community recovery, and stabilization program and supporting humanitarian agencies in the protection of civilians thus creating a conducive environment for socioeconomic development.
Kenya has been playing a pivotal role in the DRC conflict. Ex President Uhuru Kenyatta has been leading a peace negotiation exercise in Nairobi to find a truce among the warring parties.
