Mauritius was the most peaceful country in Sub-Saharan Africa. The country scored 1.59 in the Global Peace Index and ranked 28th out of 163 countries globally. Ghana and Botswana also positioned on the top of the ranking, with scores of 1.72 and 1.75, respectively.
