Eugene Wamalwa with Fred Matiangi at DCI HQs last week.

Former defense cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa has warmly welcomed DPP decision to drop up charges against his former colleague Fred Matiangi.

" Pleased to learn of the dropping of trumped up charges against my brother Fred Matiangi by ODPP" tweeted Eugene Wamalwa.

The DAP- K party leader further warned president William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza administration to stop the vice of targeting opposition allied leaders and other perceived enemies of the state.

" The Kenya Kwanza regime should stop this Jacobin like reign of terror targeting Azimio and perceived enemies of the state" added Wamalwa.

Eugene Wamalwa went ahead to name two vocal Azimio movement leaders under siege due to their stand in the opposition.

Mr. Wamalwa named Narok Senator Ledama Olekina and Jubilee party national secretary general Jeremiah Kioni as the targeted politicians.

" We know you are after Jeremiah Kioni and Ledama Olekina, drop that too" added Wamalwa
