Key Points Raila Raised During Press With Media Before He Cast His Vote

After the Kenyan integrated elections management system (KIEMS) malfunctioned in some polling locations in several counties, including Kakamega county, where former senator Boni Khalwale has raised awareness of the issue, the independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) has been urged to take action.

Azimio la umoja Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for one of Kenya's coalition parties, has now made public comments regarding the problem. Raila said that everything he had prophesied had occurred at the polling location he was assigned in the county of Nairobi.

As a result of the failure of the KIEMS kits, he accused Vice President William Ruto for opposing the use of the manual register while now profiting from it. He said that some people cannot be identified using biometrics.

"For some persons, biometric identification is insufficient. Manual registration opponents are now the ones who gain from what they opposed "he explained.
