Details Emerge of What OKA Chiefs Are Currently Doing to Thin Raila's Political Life in Coast Region

Leaders of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) are touring Taita-Taveta County today to drum up support for the 2022 General Election.

Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (Kanu), and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) are set to speak at rallies in Voi and Wundanyi areas which are seen as strongholds of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The OKA Principals plans to thin Raila's support from the region and drum support for One Kenya Alliance.

Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako has already informed the police of the rallies, according to a senior official at the Wundanyi Police Station.

Mr Mwashako and Lydia Haika, the Taita-Taveta Women's Representative, called for peaceful campaigns ahead of the elections next year.

In the run-up to the election, MPs committed to work together, regardless of party affiliation, to foster peaceful coexistence.

Mwashako is a Wiper Party legislator and deputy secretary general, whereas Haika was elected on the Jubilee Party ticket but afterwards switched to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), which is linked to Deputy President William Ruto.
