Religious leaders in Kirinyaga County have jointly sent a message urging politicians visiting the Mount Kenya region County to tone down on political temperatures amid the rising political temperatures in the Mountain.
Bishops and pastors have called politicians visiting the county seeking support from residents in persuit of various seats in the next year's general election both at County level and at the national level to tone down.
The Kirinyaga Bishops and pastors have urged Politicians to tone down on political temperatures for peace and development to prevail as the county.
They have said that this is due to the upcoming national function which the county will host in a few days time.
Kirinyaga County will be hosting this year's Mashujaa day celebrations next month and for this reason, the religious leaders have asked the political leaders to tone down and champion for peace across Kirinyaga fir the success of this year's Mashujaa Celebration.
