Narc Kenya party leader and former Justice Minister Martha Karua is among leaders present at the home of former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Secretary General.
The leaders are attending the endorsement of Dr Mukhisa Kituyi by some of the Western Kenya elders to be their Presidential Candidate ahead of the next general elections.
Other leaders present is the Makueni county governor professor Kivutha Kibwana who is also a close ally of the former Gichugu constituency Member of Parliament.
The event is taking place at the home of the former legislator which is in Bungoma county with the area county senator Moses Wetangula missing despite being from the area.

Dr Mukhisa Kituyi has already established that he will be looking forward to succeding Kenyan Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta once his term comes to an end this coming year.
He joins others from Western Kenya who have declared interest in the top position among them Amani National Congress ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi who has been trying to ensure that his support in the area is strong enough.
