President Uhuru Kenyatta' s deputy, William Ruto, has every reason to be concerned ahead of the August election after it was revealed that even if he wins the presidential election, he has no plans to pass over authority to him.
After a private meeting with the president, Nominated Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda revealed this.
During an interview, Kamanda revealed that he had conducted private meetings with the president, who suggested that he would start a big campaign against Deputy President William Ruto and all UDA aspirants in the run- up to the August 9 election to ensure that they would never win.
Uhuru promised him that he would never pass over control to Ruto because it would be bad for the country. Kamanda said he spoke with the president directly, and he told him that those guys will not succeed him.
Kamanda also said that from what he understands, the next two months will alter everything, and he can guarantee them that no candidate running on a UDA platform will be elected in Mt. Kenya.
The politician continued to say that Ruto really messed up when he declared himself Mt. Kenya monarch, so just wait and see.
He also stated that the President would advise them ahead of the August poll and that the rallies would be targeted at neutralizing the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of Deputy President William Ruto in the region.
He added that Uhuru will appear to explain what he has done and what he desires and those pleading with him to be silent in the upcoming election should be aware that he is on his way.
He declared that he would not leave the country in the hands of wicked people and he will not allow the United Democratic Party to win any seats in the region. He added that those politicians who hurry to join UDA will quickly realize they have chosen the wrong side.
