"Just Accept The Fact" Aisha Jumwa Urges Opposition Leader Raila To Accept His Defeat And Move On

Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga was in attendance at a Thanksgiving service on Saturday that was hosted by Governor Gidion Mungaro of the state of Kilifi.

Aisha Jumwa, the cabinet secretary for public service and gender, was one of the many people who went to the event in Kilifi County.

During his talk to the group, Jumwa defended the administration of President William Ruto by noting that the people of Kilifi had benefited significantly from the fact that the region has been receiving food aid.

While this was going on, Jumwa made use of the situation to confront the leader of the ODM about his never-ending assertions that he was cheated out of winning the just concluded presidential election.

When she was defeated by Gidion Mungaro, she counseled Raila to be like herself and take the loss and move on with her life.

"Wewe Raila Hukuibiwa Kura, ndio maana hukutangazwa, Ruto alishinda ndio maana IEBC ilimtangaza", remarked Jumwa.

In addition, the former representative for Malindi in the Kenyan Parliament defended the decision of the president to establish a tribunal with the mandate to probe the four members of the IEBC commission.

She stated that the president's actions were based on a recommendation made by Parliament, which is an autonomous body.

Before betraying Raila Odinga and joining Ruto's United Democratic Alliance, Jumwa was known as one of the fiercest defenders of Odinga's position. This is an important fact to keep in mind.

When he stood to speak, Raila reiterated that he will be holding the first rally to protest the suspension of the four IEBC commissioners at Kamukunji on Wednesday. The rally is in response to the suspension of the commissioners.
