It is now evident that the push of public members to supporting Raila Amollo Odinga is a state sponsored plan motivated by threats as according to Senator Malala who spoke to Citizen TV Kenya.
Senator Cleophas Malala of Kakamega county now says that the decision by over 25 governors to back ODM leader Raila Odinga was motivated by threats from the state apparatus rather than genuine support.
Malala claimed on Citizen TV's Daybreak show on Tuesday that the 30 governors were bullied into supporting Odinga's presidential campaign by fear of graft charges if they did not cooperate.

"I observed governors lining up and flanking the right honourable Raila Odinga," Malala said, "but the combination of those governors does not reflect the real voter on the ground since governors do not vote for their particular counties."
He adds that the governors are threatened on losing their jobs if they don't support Raila's Presidency.
