A photo going around on social media has caught the attention of Kenyans. Previously, it was alleged to be the image of George Natembeya. The shirt the man on this image is wearing, bears a striking resemblance to the shirt Natembeya donned today. Disquieting rumours claim that 'the ground' was hostile to the former Rift Valley regional commissioner and stripped him.
These rumours were dispelled by Natembeya's ardent supporters, who managed to decipher who the man in the image is. It is believed that the man in the image is Bomet senator, Christopher Langat. The legislator is said to have been roughed up by roudy youths after declaring that he would vie for the senatorial seat as an independent candidate. This was after he lost the UDA nomination ticket to Nairobi lawyer, Hillary Sigei. Natembeya is eyeing the Transzoia gubernatorial seat on a DAP-K ticket. Below are some reactions from Kenyans on Twitter.
