Teso North Member of Parliament, Arthur Papa Odera has claimed that Kenya needs to draw a line between the roles of the President and the Chief Justice. This is only the way to avoid the emerging wrangles between the Judiciary and the Executive.

According to him, there's a confusion on the roles the two top offices, since most Kenyans except the lawyers don't understand what the President can do and what he cannot do, likewise to the Chief Justice especially during this time on the quagmire around cherry picking of Judges.

Speaking on an interview with KTN news television, Odera said that a line needs to be drawn up to separate the two offices and make each one of them work independently. The President and the Chief Justice should work independently to so that the Executive and Judiciary should not continue clashing every now and then.
