Deputy President William Ruto accompanied by leaders allies to him yesterday toured Kitui county. Where he held talks with hundreds of locals, United Democratic Alliance delegates and leaders are drawn from the region.
Thereafter, Deputy President, William Ruto made several stopovers. Where he interacted with locals. Who had turned out in large numbers to grace his tour in the region.
However, DP Ruto's tour in Kitui county was both marred by resistance and collaboration from a section of locals.
Given that Kitui County is perceived to be among political strongholds for the wiper party.
In a viral video clip that is taking the internet by storm. One of DP Ruto's allies had a difficult time marketing UDA in a certain town.
As a section of youths countered his UDA narratives and slogans against those of the Wiper party.
Whenever he said 'Harambee' which is supposed to be rhymed with the Word 'UDA'.The rowdy youths countered it with wiper party slogans.
Despite his efforts to calm the youth down, all was rendered futile. However, the leader decided to soldier on. As he continued to address them despite their houses.
