The race to secure over 2M Mulembe region votes has been very intense between the Kenya Kwanza coalition team and the Azimio One Kenya Alliance team ahead of the August general polls. The two sides have also been conducting regular Campaigns in the region to secure more seats from the region from the county Assembly members to the top county politics.
The ODM party Kakamega county Gubernatorial aspirant attracted a very large crowd at Malaba, Kakamega county as he drummed his support to the former Prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga and his bid for the top county Job. Hon. Fernandez Barasa and his running mate Hon. Mugabe dug deep into the county as they urged voters to consider Azimio coalition for the next government.
This is a signal to the Kenya Kwanza top aspirant in the region Hon. Cleophas Malala that the Gubernatorial race will not be as easy as he think and he must be ready for a very tough battle. The luhya community will weigh on who to back between Odinga and Ruto as the divisive politics seems to be taking shape.
