"Sikusema Kagwe Atakuja Nyanza Kama Mgeni" Junet Clarifies His Nyamira Visit Statement

Following Junet Mohammed's statement in Nyamira a few days ago, " the government will be owned by Nyanza people and Mutahi atakuja Nyanza kama mgeni wetu" has been interpreted in many different ways by those who are opposing the former prime minister Raila Odinga. The Tangatanga allies have interpreted it that if Raila becomes the president of the Republic of Kenya then it is like the only people who will benefit from it are the Nyanza people. But according to junet on Citizen television today this evening that is not what he meant.

Junet has told citizen Television that " What I said in Nyamira a few days ago has been totally been blown out of context, has been misinterpreted, misreported by mass media and misdirected by individuals who are trying to sell their propaganda, campaigns are local and I was addressing the Gussi community. my statement was not based on excluding anyone".

In his statement at Nyamira he also jokingly said "Kagwe's people (Mt Kenya locals) have enjoyed the trappings of power for more than 20 years and it is now the turn of Nyanza residents to enjoy power should Raila assume office in 2022."
