For the last few months, the ODM party leader hon Raila Odinga and his team have been claiming that votes rigging costed him the presidential seat during the august general elections. They have been claiming that some people manipulated the results in favour of Dr William Samoe Ruto.
Now, few hours ago Mr Odinga came out to specifically name the person whom he blames for rigging his votes giving Dr William Ruto a lead. As reported by the star news, Odinga who was talking during an interview said that Wafula Chebukati is the one to be blamed for the votes rigging. He said that if Chebukati had not allowed rigging to happen, he could have been announced as the president. He also said that the Cherera-4 commisioners must be reinstated before 2027 elections.
"Chief Opposition leader Raila Odinga has said he does not blame President William Ruto over the alleged rigging of the August polls. He, however, pointed his finger at former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati over the rigging claims. Raila spoke on Tuesday during a late-night interview with KTN." Said the reports.
