Outspoken Mathira member of parliament honourable Rigathi Gachagua has sent a stern warning to embattled Kirinyaga governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru, following her recent sentiments about the possibility of her decamping from the rulling jubilee party and join united democratic alliance party, allied to deputy president William Ruto.
Gachagua welcomed governor Waiguru to the party and assured her a free and fair nomination process in her bid to defend and secure her gubernatorial seat in the coming general elections.
Mathira member of parliament however cautioned governor Waiguru against ignoring the will of voters, adding that the wrath of voters is more ruthless than governments frustrations. He further asked Kirinyaga governor to respect the people's choice or risk loosing her seat in the coming general elections.
Mathira member of parliament once served as president Uhuru Kenyatta's personal assistant. Kirinyaga county women representative honourable Purity Ngirici is among the closest allies of deputy president William Ruto, who are seeking to battle the governorship of Kirinyaga county with Waiguru.
NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua is also in the race to try and defeat Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru after she failed her first attempt in last general elections.Governor Waiguru had earlier admitted to the fact that jubilee had lost its popularity and that she would lose her seat if she risked defending it on the party.
