"I Am Sorry For What The Govt Did to You" Kenyans React as President Ruto Apologizes to Miguna

President William Ruto on Saturday evening left Kenyans talking on social media after he apologized to lawyer Joshua Miguna Miguna.

It has been reported that the President apologized to Miguna when they met in the Nyanza region.

According to Dennis Itumbi, Ruto apologized to Miguna Miguna for what the previous government of President Uhuru Kenyata did to him, deporting him to Canada.

"I am Sorry for what Government did to you. I am very sorry. It was unfair. I apologize," Itumbi quoted the President.

Miguna was deported to Canada during President Uhuru's regime, by then, Ruto was the second in command.

He was deported a few days after he had taken part in swearing in event of ODM leader Raila Odinga as the people's president.

While Raila resolved his issues with Uhuru through the handshake, Miguna's return failed to happen. He tried to come back when Uhuru was still in power but the red alert prevented him.

He was only allowed back into the country after Ruto took the tools of power from Uhuru.
