This recent move is being perceived to be inspired by recent developments surrounding the BBI. According to BBI, any leader who wants to be a prime minister or deputy prime minister is expected to be a member of parliament. It seems this is what the Kakamega governor is targeting.
Last week the Governor was spotted in the company of Deputy [President William Ruto then days later he was seen with ODM leader Raila Odinga. Could he be the Deputy Prime minister in waiting? Political players are watching to see what transpires in the coming days.
