Ruto Given 1 Month Ultimatum To Bring Back Kazi Mtaani As The Suspension Blamed For Increased Crime.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta introduced the Kaazi mtaani program to assist low-income earners, particularly urban youths. President William Ruto has been given one month to reinstate the program.

Bunge La Wananchi President Calvin Okoth Gaucho, while addressing the media, accused Ruto of hypocrisy, stating that he had claimed to be the chief hustler during campaigning, but after assuming power, he abolished the initiative that provided many with a source of income.

Gaucho demanded that the president reinstate the initiative within a month, arguing that its suspension is to blame for the country's increased insecurity, particularly in Nairobi City.

He justified the teenagers' participation in robberies and pickpocketing by asserting that their economic circumstances forced them to do so. According to him, the individuals merely seek food and housing.
