Fracas was today witnessed in Kericho between the county senator's supporters and those of energy cabinet secretary Charles Keter during a fundraising today in Belgut constituency . The two who are up in arms trying to clinch the county's top position have in the recent past shown disintegration despite being the best of friends years ago .

Today's highly contested fundraising of 30 self help welfare groups organized by senator Aaron Cheruiyot was stormed by their rivals who earlier said the function was to be used to incite the youth against the energy CS . They had condemned the organizers of the fundraiser for painting the CS as William Ruto's rival .

"Let’s all attend the fundraising in Seretut. But let the organizers know that we are aware that the so called Welfare groups are political bloggers. We need to know what Criteria was used in selecting the members. Some people are trying to own UDA. Ruto needs all votes but some busy bodies are trying to divide us ," Beryl a fierce supporter of Charles Keter said .

Charles Keter and Aaron Cheruiyot are both fighting to be endorsed by deputy president William Ruto in their 2022 bid and each so as to get the attention of the second in command and a big factor in the region's politics , are using all possible means including bad politics to look good before DP .

Cheruiyot's supporters have condemned the unfortunate incident from their rivals saying the CS paid the goons . The CS's camp has a different story saying those who caused mayhem were dissatisfied electorates who are not in agreement with his leadership .

The chaos is a tip of the ice berg of the intolerant national politics that has been witnessed across the country . Despite being called off by NCIC , intolerance is proving to be going down to local politics and a worry to many .
